I am still recovering from the Summit.
I have been doing so much this week and trying to figure out how I can process everything I learned, the people I met, the experience I had.
I feel so blessed to have met everyone.
I feel energized!
I feel blessed!
I feel so grateful!
I volunteered for the event (Congrats to Mandy Farsace, Ivy and Chris and everyone at Woodhull Freedom Foundation) for being great Volunteer Leaders! (I adore all of you!)
I was able to see a few sessions between volunteering:
“Beyond Tuskegee: Exploring Anti-Blackness in Human Sexuality” presented by Ms. Tracie Q. Gilbert
“Making Pleasure Political: How To Be Politically Engaged While Repping Your Pleasure-based Business” by Myisha Battle
I will admit I cried at the end of the Plenary. I was just…like wow. I was moved. I was invigorated! I was like YES!!! I am HOME!!
This is where I am suppose to be!
When I say I saw people who were just inspiring… I was moved beyond belief.
I had such great conversations with so many, many amazing people. I am still reeling.
I have really started to think more of other inter-related issues such as racial, spiritual economic justice issues related to sexuality issues ((which is great)
I have begun to think more how I can help more people through blogging and conversation.
I don’t feel so alone in my journey writing about sex and sexuality.
I felt really great meeting so many different sex bloggers (and connecting with them on social media)
If you ever get a chance to get to any conference/seminar/group event in your topic(s) of interest, GO!
It can help you in so many way, not just CLE credits or networking but just to reconnect to interests you are passionate about!
This is a partial list of those who I met walking around the Summit, in the Blogger Lounge, while working as a volunteer, at official sponsors’ events and tables, in sessions, and even traveling back and forth to the Summit!
